Privacy Policy
This privacy policy explains what happens to your information when you use the Stamply: PDF Signer & Toolkit app for Android (the "App"), made by Mirai Technologies ("we", "us").
In short
- Your files never leave your phone. PDFs, images, scans and signatures are opened, edited and saved on your device. We never upload them.
- No account. You don't sign up, and we don't ask for your name, email or phone number.
- We don't run servers that collect your data. We don't receive or store anything about you.
- The App shows ads from Google AdMob. To show ads, Google collects some device information, such as your Advertising ID and IP address. In the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, we ask for your consent first.
1. Your files and signatures
Everything you do with your documents happens on your phone:
- PDFs and images that you open, sign, merge, split, organize, protect with a password or convert are processed on your device. The App only opens the files you choose in Android's file picker. It has no permission to read your other files.
- Saved files go to the location you pick. Your original file is never changed.
- Signatures you draw and save are stored only in the App's private storage on your device.
- Passwords you set on a PDF are used only to encrypt that file on your device. We never see or store them.
- The Recent files list and your settings (such as the theme) are stored only on your device.
- Scanning uses Google's ML Kit Document Scanner, which runs on your device. Your scanned pages are not sent to Google or to us.
- Sharing happens only when you tap Share, and only to the app you choose.
We have no access to any of this. It stays on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
2. Information collected by third parties
We don't collect personal information ourselves. The App includes software from Google that collects some information when the App runs:
Google AdMob (ads)
- Device identifiers: your Android Advertising ID and app set ID
- IP address, from which an approximate location (such as your country or city) may be inferred
- Device and app information: device model, operating system version, language, App version
- Ad interactions: which ads are shown, tapped or closed
- Diagnostics: crash and performance information from the ads software
Google ML Kit Document Scanner (scanning)
- Usage and performance statistics about the scanner (for example, how often it is used and how well it performs). Your scanned pages and files are not included.
Google Play (Remove ads purchase)
- If you buy "Remove ads", Google Play handles the payment. We receive only a confirmation of the purchase, never your payment details.
3. Ads and your choices
The App is free and is paid for by ads from Google AdMob: a banner on the Home screen, and a full-screen ad after you save a file.
- EEA, UK and Switzerland: the first time you open the App, Google's consent form asks whether Google may store information on your device and show you personalized ads. If you don't agree, Google may still show non-personalized or limited ads, which don't use your personal data for targeting. You can change your choice at any time in the App under Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Everywhere: you can reset or delete your Advertising ID, or opt out of personalized ads, in your phone's settings: Settings → Privacy → Ads (the menu name may differ on some phones).
- Remove ads: after you buy "Remove ads", the App no longer shows or loads ads.

4. Third-party services
These services have their own privacy policies, which apply to the information they collect:
- Google AdMob: Google Privacy Policy and How Google uses advertising
- Google ML Kit: ML Kit Terms and Google Privacy Policy
- Google Play services and Google Play: Google Privacy Policy
We don't sell your information, and we don't share it with anyone else.
5. What is sent, to whom, and why
This table lists all information that leaves your device through the App.
| Information | Sent to | Purpose |
|---|---|---|
| Advertising ID, app set ID, IP address, device and app information, ad interactions, ads diagnostics | Google LLC (Google AdMob) | Showing ads, measuring ads, preventing fraud, and personalized ads where you allowed them |
| Your ad consent choice (EEA, UK, Switzerland) | Google LLC (User Messaging Platform) | Remembering and respecting your choice |
| Scanner usage and performance statistics | Google LLC (ML Kit) | Keeping the scanner working and improving it |
| Purchase confirmation for "Remove ads" | Google LLC (Google Play) | Processing and restoring your purchase |
Your documents, scans, signatures and file passwords are never sent anywhere.
6. Legal basis (EEA, UK and Switzerland)
- Consent: for storing and accessing information on your device for ads, and for personalized ads. You give or refuse consent in Google's consent form, and you can withdraw it at any time in Settings → Ad privacy choices.
- Legitimate interests: for showing non-personalized or limited ads that keep the App free, for preventing ad fraud, and for the scanner's usage statistics. Google's consent form also lets you object to processing based on legitimate interests.
7. International transfers
Google may process information in countries other than yours, including the United States. For transfers from the EEA, the UK and Switzerland, Google relies on legally recognized safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses and adequacy decisions. See the Google privacy frameworks.
8. How long information is kept
- On your device: your files, signatures, Recent list and settings stay until you delete them or uninstall the App. Uninstalling removes the App's private storage, including saved signatures. Files you saved elsewhere stay where you saved them.
- By Google: Google keeps the information it collects according to its own retention policy.
- By us: we keep nothing about you. If you email us, we keep your message only as long as we need to answer it, unless the law requires us to keep it longer.
9. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct or delete your personal data, to object to or restrict its use, to data portability, and to withdraw consent. These rights come from laws such as the GDPR (EEA), the UK GDPR, the Swiss FADP, Indonesia's Personal Data Protection Law (UU PDP) and Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI).
We don't hold personal data about you, so most requests are answered fastest by Google:
- Change your ad consent: Settings → Ad privacy choices in the App (EEA, UK, Switzerland).
- Reset or delete your Advertising ID: Settings → Privacy → Ads on your phone.
- Requests about the data Google holds: Google privacy controls and the Google Privacy Policy.
You can also contact us at contact@mirai.co.id and we will help. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
10. California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
Showing personalized ads through Google AdMob may count as "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising under California law. We do not sell personal information for money. You have the right to know, to delete, to opt out of sale or sharing, and not to be discriminated against for using these rights. To opt out, delete your Advertising ID or turn off ad personalization in your phone's settings (Settings → Privacy → Ads), or email contact@mirai.co.id.
11. Children
The App is not directed at children under 13, or under the minimum age set by the law where they live (for example, 16 in some EEA countries). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that sent their information to Google, contact us at contact@mirai.co.id and we will help.
12. Security
Your documents stay on your device, protected by Android's app sandbox. Information sent to Google is sent over encrypted connections. Password-protected PDFs are encrypted on your device before they are saved.
13. Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will post the new version on this page with a new effective date. If a change is significant, we will also tell you in the App. If the law requires your consent to a change, we will ask for it before the change takes effect.
